"The Others." Here, a mother has to care for her two ill children while she waits for her husband to return from fighting in World War II. The three of them live in a secluded mansion and start to experience many startling events. Starring Nicole Kidman and produced, in part, by Tom Cruise. Rated 'PG-13' for supernatural horror and suspense.

This movie will blow your mind away! "The Others" starts off very slow. Every time you think something is going to happen, nothing does. It became a bit frustrating. Then suddenly this frightening mystery becomes a lot more tense and a twist that is not expected comes to life. WHOA, I haven't yelled so loud in a theater for a long time. I don't know what's worse, running a mile or watching "The Others," my heart would not stop pounding.
Nicole Kidman is starting to win points back. She did an excellent job in pulling the audience in a different direction, from being strong to feeling completely vulnerable. Also at times she was a lot braver than I would ever be. Sorry Tom, I tried to dislike her for you!
If you're in the mood to see a suspenseful, heart throbbing, and mysterious movie, this one is a must to see.
Is this movie worth the price of admission? Oh yes, and make sure you sit between people you know. Would I see it again? I have to since at times my hands were covering my eyes.

It took a while for this story to get going and I started to wonder if maybe I had wasted my six bucks. Physics class in college was more entertaining than the beginning of this movie and let me tell you, that's pretty bad. But it finally did start rolling and never slowed down.
There were several scary parts and they were good, but I would have liked more. There's nothing a like a good scare to get the adrenaline flowing.
The movie used music very well to keep me on the edge of my seat. In most scary movies you can tell when a bad part is coming just by listening to the music and you can get ready for it. Here, the music would build in anticipation of a scary part and nothing would happen. Then it would build again and something would scare the living daylights out of me. This continued throughout the movie and helped the scariness because I never really knew when something was going to happen and I couldn't always prepare for it.
Was "The Others" worth the price of admission? Yes. Would I see it again? Yes, when I'm in the mood for a scary movie that I haven't already seen a hundred times.
