This movie was very emotional. From dealing with love, violence, and death, this movie will take you through the different emotions.
Going into this movie, I really didn't know what to expect. The only thing was that some of the actors and actresses have been nominated for the Golden Globes, so I figured that this might be worth seeing.
"In the Bedroom" reminded me of a low budget film. The setting was simple but still had a big effect. Also, the town reminded me of how Broomfield used to be, small and where everyone knew each other. They did a wonderful job showing how different people can experience the same event yet how different each of them gets through it.
Is this movie worth the price of admission? Yes, only if you plan on crying for two straight hours. Would I see it again? Probably not. I don't need to watch more than once for it to stick in my mind and heart. However if someone close to me were experiencing anything that the movie's content, I would probably sit with them and watch it.

Let's start off by saying that the title of this movie is very deceiving. I hadn't seen many previews for this flick and I assumed by the name that there was going to be a few risqué scenes. Heck, I was even hesitant to tell my mom what movie we were reviewing this week because of the name. But in actuality, this flick has nothing to do with anybody's bedroom and when there is something going on in there, it's just talking.
Now it may sound like I'm disappointed but I'm not. I was actually very impressed with this flick. It turned out to be a disturbing and gut-wrenching story with powerful acting. It was kind of long and the pace was slow but I guess it fit.
I also thought this was going to be a total chick flick, but it wasn't in the least bit. There is very little girly stuff here.
Is "In The Bedroom" worth the price of admission? It is definitely worth the price and is worthy of any awards nominations it gets. Would I see it again? Like many other flicks, I don't need to see it again but I could.
