"Speed" would be one word to describe "The Fast and the Furious." This thrilling movie will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Even if you don't know every part of a car you can still keep up and even learn a few things. Wow, the difference Nitrous Oxide can make, but remember it can be dangerous. Seeing Honda Civics, Volkswagen Jettas, and Mitsubishi Eclipses racing was quite amusing. For some reason, I can't see Melvin (my Honda Civic) racing.
Both men and women will enjoy this movie, especially those in their teens and twenties. This movie has a lot to offer from love, greediness, and betrayal to heart-pumping music that adds to the rush you get while watching cars exceed 140 MPH.
Drag racing is on the rise across the nation, but ask yourself, is this sport worth losing friends over?
Is this movie worth the price of admission? Yes. Would I see it again? Yes.

When I saw the previews for "The Fast and the Furious," I figured this would be a movie only serious car dudes would love. Well, I was wrong.
While it does rely heavily on fancy cars and fast racing, there is more to this flick and most people should enjoy it. There's no excessive car lingo to get lost in or horribly fake chase scenes to make you sick, just a decent story and fast action. There are also very few special effects, which is rare in today's movies and a very refreshing change.
One of the few problems that I had with this movie was the emptiness of the highways during the hijacking of moving semi-trucks. Where's the traffic for crying out loud? Some traffic on those highways might have added a little extra suspense and realism, but the scenes were still pretty cool.
And people, I know this flick will may give some of you the itch to go out and drag race, but leave the racing to the pros.
So, was this movie worth the price of admission? Yes. Would I see it again? Sure.
